i work for a security company located in maine, today they had 5 of us drive 2 hours for an 8 hour service weapons course that they did not pay us for, they did give us a $25 stipend for gas and lunch but we feel that $25 for 8 hours of training required by our company and 2 hours one way is just wrong, it cost them about $150 a person but this was a normal day off for all of us, is this normal for companies or are they just being stingy? and is there labor law that could be brought to there attention about pay?
