Why do people still use and reference the bible?

The second half of the bible becomes more relevant as time continues because of the prophecies it tells, rolling earthquakes through the earth, the worship of money, war, the lack of respect for parents... and more. Also the bible state that God built Adam out of dirt(alluding to the four principle elements of living organisms Carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen) and proceeded to blow in his nose not with the snap of the fingers.
