What's your opinion on hobble training?

I don't get the point of it. At all. Perhaps it has value in a Western discipline that I don't know because I don't ride Western, but seeing as most horses tie fine and there is very little practical use for hobbles (Long-term- Not like breeding hobbles) anymore I don't see why you'd risk it.
